Russia’s diplomatic push in Africa

Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is in Africa to meet the leaders of South Africa, Eswatini, Botswana and Angola in an attempt to show the world that Russia is not isolated despite Western sanctions and restrictions. SAIIA’s Steven Gruzd spoke to ABC News about Russia’s efforts to forge stronger ties on the continent.
