The Republic of Uganda is a landlocked country located in East Africa. It’s a low-income economy with a GDP of $34.4 billion (2019). Uganda’s main exports (2018) include tourism (22%) and gold (17%). The land-locked nature of Uganda combined with its membership of the East African Community make it a useful case study in this project.
