This year 60 delegates from across South Africa aged between 14 – 24 years have been selected to participate in the 8th SAIIA Young Leaders Conference (YLC) from 10 – 15 July 2022. Delegates held their own negotiations on key topics ranging from climate change to education to economic development relating them back to youth participation, and youth-led action and policy implementation. The negotiations culminated in the formal presentation and handover of the 2022 Young Leaders Declaration at Freedom Park in Pretoria on 14 July 2022.
