The BRICS Summit expectations

The BRICS Summit 2023 agenda is also expected to cover trade and investment facilitation, sustainable development, innovation, and global governance reform. It is also expected to cover the much-debated proposition of a new, gold-backed currency and BRICS expansion. In the SAFM panel, SAIIA’s Senior Researcher Gustavo De Carvalho says the BRICS is a vehicle that aims to strengthen its members’ voices in international affairs.
