Will South Africa’s 2024 election save its democracy?

Several polls suggest that South Africa’s ruling ANC party is likely to lose its majority in the upcoming May 29 general election. Speaking to Deutsche Welle, SAIIA’s head of the African Governance and Diplomacy Programme Steven Gruzd says that the ANC could still secure a slim majority vote.
