Gray Maguire is the Principal Carbon Originator and AgriCarbon Programme Lead at Anthesis South Africa, as well as the former Green Economy Coordinator at the Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning at the Western Cape Government.

He holds a postgraduate degree in poverty, land and agrarian studies from the University of the Western Cape and wrote his master’s thesis on private investment in sustainable land-use management at the University of the Witwatersrand. He writes in his personal capacity.
