Vukile Hlongwa is an experienced financial executive and strategic leader with over 20 years working in the corporate, developmental, and public sectors. Vukile has previously held senior leadership roles, including CFO, acting CEO and head of finance for a number of developmental organisations. As a qualified Chartered Global Management Accountant (ACMA, CGMA) and a member of CIMA, Vukile brings deep expertise in financial governance, risk management and strategic planning, with a strong command of the NPO Act, IFRS for SME, the Income Tax Act, the VAT Act and King V principles.

Beyond his executive roles, Vukile contributes governance and financial acumen as a non-executive director on the boards of two state entities, serving on their audit, risk, and finance & investment committees. He is also an active member of CIMA’s Southern Africa Area Committee and serves as president of the Progressive Professionals Council of Southern Africa (PPCoSA). His career reflects a consistent commitment to strengthening organisational sustainability, driving operational turnarounds and applying technical thought leadership to advance the financial health of developmental organisations.
