Intensifying strategic competition, the testing of traditional alliances and increasing calls for middle powers to navigate a more fragmented and contested international landscape are all contributing to a shifting global order.
What role can middle powers play in shaping this changing geopolitical environment? How can countries such as Norway and South Africa use diplomacy, partnerships and multilateral institutions to advance their interests – and contribute to a more stable and effective international order?
SAIIA’s Western Cape branch is pleased to welcome Norwegian Ambassador to South Africa, H.E. Anne Beathe Kristiansen, for this timely discussion under the theme “Middle Powers in a Changing Geopolitical Landscape”.
Join us for an engaging conversation on the opportunities – and challenges – facing middle powers as the geopolitical landscape is reshaped.
