BRICS and the World: The New Delhi Summit and the Next Phase of Global Governance

On 16 September, SAIIA, the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, Asia Society Policy Institute, the German Institute for Global and Area Studies and the MIT Center for International Studies hosted a post-BRICS Summit webinar.

This webinar unpacked the outcomes of the recent 18th BRICS Summit hosted in New Delhi. Experts analysed developments within the bloc and reflected on BRICS@20.

Discussions explored the bloc’s external positioning on US/global politics and AI governance, as well as reflecting on the expectations from China’s 2027 presidency.
