Join SAIIA on 9 November as we share insights from consultations by partners of the Southern Country Platform Research Network and discuss a shared research agenda for the network.

Country Platforms are gaining momentum as a means of mobilising finance for climate and development priorities. But what challenges do countries face in making them work – and what support is needed to overcome them?

Join SAIIA and partners for a discussion presenting preliminary findings from the “Advancing Country Platforms: Southern Evidence and Insights” research network, a collaboration between SAIIA, the World Resources Institute, ODI Global and leading research institutions across Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Supported by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and Global Affairs Canada, the Southern Country Platform Research Network is undertaking the first global demand assessment of Country Platform practitioners across these regions. Led by Southern research institutions, the assessment identifies the practical challenges, knowledge gaps and research priorities emerging from countries’ own experiences, including South Africa’s Just Energy Transition Partnership.

Join us to help shape a demand-driven global research agenda to strengthen the next generation of Country Platforms.
