Join SAIIA, UNDP, AfriCatalyst and AUDA-NEPAD for a two-day G20 Conference focused on advancing Africa's development priorities.

This year marks a pivotal moment for Africa’s role in global governance. With South Africa’s presidency and the African Union’s (AU) permanent seat at the G20, African states have had an unprecedented opportunity to ensure that African priorities are not only heard but actively shape global policy outcomes. This convergence of leadership positions creates a unique platform for meaningful and coordinated engagement on critical issues at both the G20 and other international forums, influencing the continent’s development trajectory for years to come.

It is against this background that SAIIA, UNDP, AfriCatalyst and AUDA-NEPAD are hosting a two-day conference for key stakeholders in West Africa. The conference will convene policymakers, thought leaders and development partners to reflect on Africa’s development priorities across the G20, the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) and UN Climate Change Conferences. The conference will focus on key global policy processes, key priorities, outcomes and opportunities for African countries. The intended outcome is for participants to be empowered with the knowledge to navigate the G20 and other global policy processes effectively, ensuring that Africa’s voice is heard and its interests are promoted.

In-person attendance is by invitation only, while virtual participation is open to all on Zoom.

We look forward to your attendance and participation.
