The Ambassador will speak on Ukraine’s resilience and innovation in the face of the challenges it has faced since Russia’s invasion on 24 February 2022.
The war has led Ukraine to make advancements in military technology, including drones, air defence capabilities and enhanced cybersecurity, that have contributed to Ukraine’s national security. Its response has also laid a foundation for civilian technological advances. These include an e-governance platform, DIA, “government services in your smartphone,” that enables access to essential social services, facilitates document renewals, and supports internally displaced persons amid the war. Ambassador Abravitova will also speak on Ukraine’s advances in energy management that have enabled a continuing supply of electricity to its citizens despite attacks on its energy infrastructure.
In its international relations, Ukraine has also engaged actively with African states, seeking to foster stronger ties. It is opening ten new embassies on the continent, underscoring its commitment to global cooperation and understanding.
