Youth Development and Advocacy in the 2020s

You are invited to a webinar on youth development and advocacy in the 2020s.

SAIIA has undertaken research on key issues pertaining to youth with the aim of developing evidence-based knowledge. 

This workshop will disseminate key research findings from SAIIA publications on youth and convene youth development experts from the African continent. They will help identify strategic areas of focus for the 2020s regarding youth development in Africa as espoused by Agenda 2063. This will also inform the youth research agenda for SAIIA’s African Governance and Diplomacy Programme.

Presenters and speakers include:

  • Ms. Prudence Ngwenya – Head of Division, African Union Commission Youth Division
  • Ms. Luanda Mpungose – Programme Officer, SAIIA
  • Mr. Terence Corrigan – Project Manager, Institute of Race Relations
  • Ms. Muneivzo Kujeke – Researcher, Institute for Security Studies
  • Mr. Seth Mulli – Executive Director, Youth Bridge Trust
  • Ms. Tessa Dooms – Director- Jasoro Consulting
  • Mr. Yarik Turianskyi – Deputy Programme Head, SAIIA

This workshop will be moderated by Ms. Itumeleng Mphure – Programme Officer with the Youth Programmes at SAIIA.
