While the African peace mission to Russia and Ukraine has been described as commendable, some experts say the continent’s lack of international mediation dynamics has been exposed. In this interview with Newzroom Afrika, SAIIA’s Senior Researcher Gustavo De Carvalho says while both Russia and Ukraine have openly expressed satisfaction with the visit from African leaders, the 10-point plan presented by the African heads of state was not accepted by all.
