South Africa’s G20 presidency will advance Africa’s agenda on inclusive economic growth, food security and climate change but current geopolitical tensions add a level of complexity.
“The G20 presidency is an important opportunity for South Africa to put some of its issues on the agenda and we see this in the emphasis on unemployment – the focus is more on social issues and building on what the previous three developing country presidencies have done with focusing on socioeconomic development issues,” says SAIIA Researcher Laura Rubidge in this interview with Moneyweb.
