Member nations look to boost influence at BRICS Summit in South Africa

The BRICS bloc hopes to counter what it views as US-led Western dominion over global politics. In this interview with CNN, SAIIA’s Senior Researcher Gustavo De Carvalho discusses the most important things to watch out for at this year’s BRICS Summit in Johannesburg. According to him, the BRICS Summit 2023 is the most symbolic meeting of the group since it was founded in 2009.
