Using the Africa Portal, the leading online knowledge resource for policy-related issues on Africa, is now even easier.

With over 5000 documents on African policy issues available, the Portal is a vital source of information for scholars, researchers and policy-makers. All the documents are fully searchable and downloadable free with no registration or password required. These documents reflect the quality research output of our current 52, mostly African, content partners.

Click here to visit the Africa Portal, and benefit from free access to thousands of policy documents.

The Portal is a joint project of SAIIA and the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), and was set up to broaden the availability, accessibility and use of policy research on issues critical to the future development of Africa. The vast majority of the material available on the Portal has been produced by African research institutes.

This month marks the first major change to the site since it was launched and is the result of suggestions received from Portal users and content partners. The overall user experience and functionality has been improved, and the site has been optimised for its growing mobile and tablet user-base. More importantly, the design enhances the ability of users to search the vast digital library collection.

SAIIA invites all our visitors to share the redesigned website with colleagues and partners. This will enable the Portal to build an even larger user-base in Africa and globally, and so promote the excellent research work that African policy research institutes are undertaking.
