Birthe Paul has worked in the field of sustainable agricultural and livestock systems, climate change and soil and land restoration for the past 15 years. She is currently heading the GIZ global programme 'Catalyzing transformation towards sustainable livestock systems (LiveSys)' at GIZ based in Bonn, Germany. From 2012-2021, she was an environment and farming systems scientist at the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) based in Kenya.
