David Bridgman holds a PhD in development studies from Cornell University. After establishing and leading the Western Cape Trade and Investment Agency in the 1990s, he worked for 20 years for the World Bank Group on private sector development issues globally, including eight years managing the Group’s private sector development programme in sub-Saharan Africa within the Trade and Investment Global Practice
