Simone Phoré is a climate change researcher in the Governance of Africa’s Resources Programme at SAIIA. She holds a Masters in Marine Spatial Planning, coordinated through the Erasmus Mundus Consortium. Three high-rated European universities participate: Università IUAV di Venezia (Italy), the University of Seville (Spain) and the University of Açores (Portugal). Her research centres on addressing the implementation of marine spatial planning within blue growth and ecosystem-based management, with a focus on the Macaronesia Archipelago. She has a Postgraduate Degree in Urban and Regional Planning, and a Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences from the University of Cape Town.
