Thulani holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and Honours degree (both with distinction) in Political and International Studies from Rhodes University. Thulani is currently studying towards his Master of Arts degree in International Relations at Wits University. He is also a student activist and a contributor on youth-orientated current affairs radio programmes. His areas of research interest include peace and security, post-conflict reconstruction and state-building, governance in Africa, human rights and gender.
