SAIIA’s Development through Trade team, in conjunction with the Geneva-based International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), the Ottawa-based International Development Research Center (IDRC), the Islamabad-based Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), and the Santiago-based Recursos e Investigación para el Desarrollo Sustentable (RIDES) hosted a two day conference on 16 and 17 October to explore research from four different developing regions on the links between trade and security.
