Have you ever wanted to know what challenges young people face in different parts of the country?

Have your say through U-Report SA

Have you wished we could get all young people in one room to share their respective solutions to these issues? Do you wonder what similarities and differences we have regarding how we think the world should be? If you answered yes to one or more of these questions then we are looking for you to help us develop the new U-Report SA platform and become a U-Reporter.

U-Report is a free tool that allows you to share your views on social issues affecting you and your community. It uses electronic polls to help our country’s leaders and civil society to get a better understanding of the most pertinent issues that young people care about. U-Report South Africa is one of 41 national U-Report programmes, and Youth@SAIIA is excited to announce that we are working with UNICEF South Africa to develop this exciting platform together with young South Africans.

How do you become a U-Reporter?

We are currently recruiting new U-Reporters through Facebook. Go to the U-Report South Africa Facebook page, open up the send message box and type “future” to get started with your first poll!

All individual messages are confidential. After your first poll is done, you can visit the U-Report SA website to see what you and other people are saying. U-Report will then send alerts via Facebook Messenger about future polls regarding national or international issues that you can participate in.

We are looking for you to become a U-Reporter, make your mark and share the platform with other young people!
