Regional integration Part 4: Gus Mandigora, Oxfam

This is part 4 in a series of video briefings on regional economic integration in Africa.

One aspect of regional integration is the Tripartite Free Trade Agreement currently under negotiation by three regional bodies, which are the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), the East African Community (E-A-C) and SADC.

We asked Oxfam’s Regional Policy Manager for Southern Africa, Gus Mandigora:

How do you ensure that community-level stakeholders in this very technical process, are not left behind?

  • How would you rate SADC approach to regional integration at this point?
