Vladimir Putin wins Russia’s presidential vote in a landslide victory

Vladimir Putin won a landslide victory in Russia’s elections, securing 87.8% of the vote to win a new six-year term. In an interview with Radio 702, SAIIA’s head of the African Governance and Diplomacy programme, Steven Gruzd, reacted to Vladimir Putin’s election victory, which he described as unjust and undemocratic, as well as South Africa’s diplomatic attitude towards Russia.
