Job opportunity: Researcher for African Governance and Diplomacy Programme (RAGDP0221)

SAIIA is seeking to appoint a dynamic, young researcher with knowledge of South African foreign policy and/or Africa’s engagement with key global partners in the North and South.

Knowledge of Russia-Africa relations and/or China-Africa relations would be an advantage. Prior research experience in a similar position within a think tank/research/academic environment and an outstanding post-graduate educational qualification at Master’s level is required. Excellent writing, research, communication, and time management skills are essential, as are computer literacy and own transport. This is a position with significant research delivery responsibilities and may entail travel.

  • Research, dissemination and media engagement
  • Events coordination
  • Finance and administration
  • M&E and reporting
  • Strategic engagement and networking
