In the run-up to the WTO ministerial meeting that took place in Geneva from 30 November 2009, a new book was released investigating the causes, consequences and prospects of the global trade collapse that took place in late 2008.

Over 20 chapters, the book explores the sudden, severe and synchronised collapse that took place in world trade in late 2008, and the prospects for recovery from this collapse.

SAIIA’s Development through Trade programme head Peter Draper contributed to the book.
