Michael Aeby is a Postdoc and Teaching Assistant at the Department of Social Sciences of the University of Basel and an associate at the University of Cape Town’s Institute for Democracy, Citizenship and Public Policy in Africa. Previously, he completed a postdoc project on civil society participation in the APSA, which resulted in this study, at the University of Edinburgh, and worked as a policy researcher for peace research institutes and development partners. He holds a PhD and MA in African History from the University of Basel.
