BRICS and the Just Transition: Partnerships Between South Africa and Brazil

This video highlights outcomes from the 'BRICS Shaping Economic Cooperation for Green Growth, Development and the Just Transition' project, with a focus on partnership between Brazil and South Africa.

As BRICS countries grow in influence, their role in shaping the global response to climate change is becoming increasingly important. In response, SAIIA launched a research project exploring how BRICS can shape economic cooperation for green growth, development, and a just transition, with a focus on partnership between Brazil and South Africa. Supported by the South African BRICS Think Tank and the National Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences, the project advanced a Global South cooperation agenda.
